program at the Jail. Instructors may choose topics that they believe
are appropriate and necessary and within their expertise.
Some topics that have been taught in the past are : Anger Management,
Stress Management, Job Search, Problem Solving, and Substance Abuse.
Share your knowledge, your expertise, and your life skills. Please

You
Can Help Reduce Crime!
The
Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Restorative Justice program coordinates
2-3 hour "conferences" that deal with crime by involving the victim,
offender and community members in the resolution to crime and conflict.
This program has been shown to reduce repeat offenses. After an
orientation, you are asked to be in one conference a month. The
conferences are held throughout Boulder County. You can be a real asset
to justice! More information?

Transition Day Program -
Boulder
County Jail
Come to the Jail and help with the Transition Day Program! In this
program, time is set aside each day for inmates to participate in
productive activity - work, education, or treatment - with the goal of
helping them leave the jail better off than when they arrive. The
following opportunity for volunteers to assist in that goal are
currently open. All activities occur during the day, Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, or Friday, during the times of 8:30-10:30 a.m. or 1:00-3:00
p.m. For more information about any of the volunteer opportunities,
please contact Sgt. Sue Yankovich, Transition Day Supervisor,
303-441-4684 or e-mail him at
syankovich@bouldercounty.org
Tutors
Be
a part of the Transition Day Program at the Jail! Several inmates each
month take and pass the GED (Graduate Equivalency Diploma), thus earning
a high school level education. Tutors can be of great help to inmates
having difficulty in a particular area. Math and literacy are the most
common problem areas. Your tutoring skills will be very helpful to one
or more individuals. Please contact Sgt. Sue Yankovich at
syankovich@bouldercounty.org or 303-441-4684.
