Recruitment underway for the Subdivision Paving Local Improvement District Advisory Committee

Boulder County invites residents to voice opinions, provide guidance

Boulder County, Colo. – Boulder County is seeking volunteers who would like to oversee and help guide decisions regarding the Subdivision Paving Local Improvement District (District).  
The Subdivision Paving Local Improvement District Advisory Committee (Committee) will serve as an independent committee to provide the Boulder County Commissioners and the Boulder County Transportation Department with recommendations regarding administration of the District.  

While the Board of County Commissioners has the legal authority and responsibility to make decisions regarding the operation and finances of the District, the Committee members will serve in an advisory capacity to the Commissioners. The Committee will act as a communication link between the property owners and residents of the District and the Commissioners. The Committee shall advise the Commissioners and the Transportation Department on issues pertinent to the implementation of the public improvements serving the District, including the following:

  • Advice and comment on operations and administration of contracts;
  • Advice, comment and recommendations on the annual budget;
  • Advice on procedures and policy;
  • Facilitation of communication between owners, residents and service providers for the district and the Transportation Department; and
  • Facilitation of communication between owners, residents and the Commissioners regarding operation and administration of the District.

Applicants must own property located within the District to serve on this Committee. To fill out an online application, please visit the Advisory Boards and Commissions vacancies page of the Boulder County website. The deadline to submit application for the Committee is Monday, Jan. 13.
