January Date Added to Comprehensive Creek Planning Meetings

Boulder County, Colo. – The county began hosting a series of community meetings in December to share information about the planning initiative and how it relates to public infrastructure reconstruction, residential rebuilding, private access, and revised floodplain mapping of unincorporated areas of the county.  Residents of unincorporated Boulder County are encouraged to share their needs and concerns about creek impacts and learn about this planning effort.   
The following are the remaining dates for community meetings:

When: Tuesday, Dec. 17
Who: Upper Lefthand Community (Intersection of Olde Stage and Lefthand Canyon Dr., west to Lickskillet Road and Jamestown town limits. Includes all of James Cr. and Rowena areas)
5201 St. Vrain Road, Longmont, CO 80503

When: Wednesday, Dec. 18
Who: Lower Lefthand Community (From the intersection of Lefthand Canyon and Geer Canyon, east to Diagonal Highway. Includes Crestview, Streamcrest, Brigadoon, Oriole Estates, Nimbus Rd)

When: Wednesday, Jan. 8
Who: Boulder Creek & South Boulder Creek Communities (East Boulder to Erie, Eldorado Springs/Marshall)
1901 63rd St., Boulder

All meetings are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. and residents should RSVP for the meeting they plan to attend by going to www.BoulderCountyFlood.org and clicking the Creek Meeting link on the right or calling 303-441-3930. Residents may attend a meeting for any community they wish, even if it is not the community where they live.
