Court of Appeals Denies Attorney General’s Request for Stay

The Colorado Court of Appeals has denied the Attorney General’s motion to stop Boulder County Clerk and Recorder Hillary Hall from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples. This denial follows yesterday’s decision by District Court Judge Andrew Hartman denying the same request. In response to the decision, Clerk Hall stated: “It’s great to see that an appellate court ruled in our favor,” said Clerk Hall. “Hopefully this means that the Attorney General will respect the appellate court’s decision rather than filing more motions or appeals.”
