Appeals calendar

Real property

     
Not later than May 1 Assessor mails real property Notices of Valuation.

     
May 1 through June 2 Assessor hears appeals to real property valuation.

    Mailed appeals must be postmarked on or before June 2, 2008.

    Appeals delivered in person will be accepted through 5:00 PM on June 2, 2008.

    Faxed appeals will not be accepted if time-stamped after 11:59 pm on June 2, 2008.

    Online appeals will not be accepted if time-stamped after after 11:59 pm on June 2, 2008.

Please be sure to allow enough time in the event that others are also submitting their appeals at the last minute.

     
Not later than June 2 Taxpayer mails, faxes or hand delivers written real property valuation appeal to Assessor.

     
Not later than June 2 Assessor concludes real property appeal hearings.

     
On or before August 31 Assessor mails Notice of Determination on real property appeals.

     
On or before September 15 Taxpayer files a written real property valuation appeal to County Board of Equalization (CBOE).

Business personal property

     
Not later than June 15 Assessor mails personal property Notices of Valuation.

     
June 15 through July 7 Assessor hears appeals to personal property valuation.

    Mailed appeals must be postmarked on or before June 30.

    Appeals delivered in person will be accepted through 5:00 PM, July 7, 2008.

    Faxed appeals will not be accepted if time-stamped after 11:59 pm, July 7, 2008.

    Online appeals will not be accepted if time-stamped after after 11:59 pm, July 7, 2008.

Please be sure to allow enough time in the event that others are also submitting their appeals at the last minute.

     
Not later than June 30 Taxpayer mails written personal property valuation appeal to Assessor.

     
Not later than July 7 Taxpayer faxes or hand-delivers written personal property valuation appeal to Assessor.

     
Not later than August 29 Assessor mails Notice of Determination for personal property appeals.

     
Not later than September 15 Taxpayer files a written personal property appeal to the County Board of Equalization, (CBOE).

County Board of Equalization (CBOE)

     
Not later than November 1 CBOE concludes hearings on property valuation appeals.

     
Within 5 days of rendering CBOE decision CBOE mails decisions on real and personal property appeals.

     
Not later than 30 days after CBOE decision Appeals from CBOE decisions must be filed with the Board of Assessment Appeals, district court, or the Board of County Commissioners for binding arbitration.
