Ballot Issue 1A allows Boulder County to issue bonds
for the purpose of providing financing options for renewable energy and energy
efficiency improvements via a “Clean Energy Options Local Improvement District,”
also known as the ClimateSmart Loan Program.
Program Updates:
Now that voters have
approved issuance of the bonds and creation of the Clean Energy Options
district, Boulder County staff are finalizing preliminary program logistics and
details. The program design will be presented to the public for comment prior to
the Commissioners' final approval in January 2009.
A
public workshop was held on Dec. 2,
2008, to provide
an opportunity for interested residents and businesses to comment on the
preliminary program design for the loan program.
All input will be considered and a revised program proposal will be presented to
the Board of County Commissioners in January.
