CONSORTIUM OF CITIES
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
MARCH 5, 1986

It is the purpose of the Boulder County Consortium of Cities to provide an organizational structure to promote interaction and communication among County, City and Town governments in Boulder County for the benefit of the separate governments and the citizenry of the County as a whole.

The objectives of this interaction and communication are multiple, a variety of which are listed below:

1. To share ideas and assistance on issues and problems facing local governments.

2. To find common ground for the solution of problems facing separate or multiple local jurisdictions within the County.

3. To provide a mediation tool for jurisdictions in Boulder County who have unresolved differences.

4. To reach consensus and form County-wide coalitions where joint action will enhance the pursuit of opportunities and the resolution of problems.
