Countywide and Regional Collaborations
The Boulder County Commissioners work collaboratively with the cities and
towns within Boulder County, as well as with neighboring communities, on a variety of issues and services.
These collaborations address important issues including
transportation, open space, development, environmental sustainability and health
and human services.
Boulder County also partners with non-profit entities in our
community to ensure residents have access to a breadth, depth and quality of
services.
Each Commissioner is active in various partnerships and organizations,
including the following:

Boulder County Consortium of Cities
Representative: Ben Pearlman
Promotes interaction and communication among Boulder County
municipalities and the county, for the benefit of the residents of
Boulder county as a whole.

Colorado Counties Inc. (CCI)
Representatives: Ben Pearlman, Will Toor
Gathers county leaders to share ideas, discuss policy, advocate for
legislation, and assist each other in delivering the most
cost-efficient, effective services to constituents.

- Human Services Coordinating Council of Boulder County
Representative:
Provides linkages, collaboration and information sharing on human
services. Members include the Department of Social Services,
Department of Community Services, Mental Health Center, law
enforcement, courts, probation and schools.

- Metro Area County Commissioners:
Representatives: Ben Pearlman, Will Toor
Engages in information sharing and cooperative efforts for the
mutual benefits of member counties, which include the seven
Denver-Metro area counties.

Rocky Flats Stewardship Council
Representative: Ben Pearlman
Oversees the safe transition of Rocky Flats to a wildlife refuge
and addresses the management of the property.

- Transit Alliance Action Fund Board of Directors
Representative: Will Toor
Made up of 10 members representing governments and businesses in the
Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD), this board provides
coalition-building and supports legislative issues that enhance
public transit in the RTD.

Transit Alliance Board of Directors
Representative: Will Toor
Promotes public transit as part of a balanced, multimodal network in
the Denver Metropolitan region. Members include local governments,
businesses, associations and citizen groups.

US 36 Mayors and Commissioners Coalition
Representative: Will Toor
Jointly supports and advances a package of multi-modal improvements
in the US 36 corridor, known as the "Locally Preferred Alternative."

Urban Drainage and Flood Control District
Representative: Will Toor
Plans for and authorizes the allocation and expenditure of funds
from the district-wide property tax for urban drainage and flood
control projects.

Additionally, the Board hosts periodic, informal
community meetings with residents and/or representatives of cities, towns
