The
County Attorney's Office Social Services Unit provides legal advice
and representation to Boulder County's Department of Social
Services and represents the People of the State of Colorado in dependency and
neglect cases (§19-3-206, C.R.S.), relinquishments, guardianships and welfare appeals, as required by state
statutes.
These
services include temporary shelter hearings, adjudicatory trials, dispositional
hearings, permanency planning, permanency custody hearings, parental rights
termination hearings, guardianships, emergency protective hearings and child
support enforcement hearings.
