U.S. Citizens
temporarily or indefinitely overseas must check a box on their
Federal Post Card Application
indicating how they wish
to return their ballot to the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder’s
office: Mail or Fax.
Important Note:
Receiving and sending ballots via email is
only available to uniformed services voters serving outside the
United States in cases where mail and fax are not available or
feasible.
You can also
check your overseas voting information and confirm your ballot
was received and processed by the Boulder County Clerk &
Recorder:

Overseas voters
must update their registration every four years to maintain a
UOCAVA status.
There are
several ways for you to receive and send your ballots.
Mail:

Ballots
can be sent and returned via first-class mail, express mail or
FedEx.

Voters must provide our office with a prepaid envelope if they
wish for their ballots to be sent express mail or FedEx
(optional).

Voters can provide the
Clerk’s office with a prepaid FedEx envelope to be used when
returning your voted ballot.

Voters must request to have their
ballots faxed by the Friday preceding the election.

If you are faxing your
ballot, you must sign the affidavit waiving the secrecy of your
voted ballot. (Only
Colorado election judges will
see ballots.)

When voting via fax you must

All ballots must be received by the Boulder County Clerk &
Recorder's
Office by 7 p.m. Mountain Time on Election Day.
Mail-in
ballots that are postmarked but not received by this deadline
will not be counted.
