Logic and Accuracy Test

The Logic and Accuracy Test for the Tues., Jan. 29, Longmont special municipal election was successful on Mon., Dec. 31. Longmont City Clerk Valeria Skitt and Chief Deputy Clerk & Recorder Scott Thomas certified the testing today at 11 a.m.

The Longmont City Clerk's office and the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder's office conducted the testing by randomly selecting a sampling of the official ballots and voting them in all possible combinations. A machine vote count of the ballots was successfully compared to a hand count resulting in the test's certification. The DRE or voting machine passed the same testing. Colorado Revised Statute 1-7-509 requires this testing of election equipment prior to each election.
