Military Voter Information
All Uniformed Services voters, eligible spouse or dependent(s) must check the box on the
Federal Post Card Application
indicating how they
wish to return their ballots to the Boulder County Clerk &
Recorder’s office by email, mail or fax.
Important Note:
Receiving and sending ballots via email is only available to uniformed services
voters serving outside the United States in cases where mail
and fax are not available.
Overseas voters must update their registration every four
years to maintain a UOCAVA status.
There
are several ways for you to receive and send your ballots:
Email

Voters
who request to vote via email must have the capability to
scan their ballot and return it as a PDF file

Emailed
ballots will be sent through the Department of Defense
Voting Assistance Program (ETS- Electronic Transmission
Service)

If you
are emailing your ballot, you must sign the affidavit
waiving the secrecy of your voted ballot
-
Only
Colorado election judges will see ballots
Mail
-
Ballots
can be sent and returned via first-class mail, express mail
or FedEx
-
You
must pay for express mail or FedEx
-
Voters
can provide the Clerk’s office with a pre-paid FedEx
envelope to be used when mailing your voted ballot

Fax
-
Voters
must request to have their ballots faxed by the Friday
preceding the election.

If
you are faxing your ballot, you must sign the affidavit
waiving the secrecy of your voted ballot. (Only
Colorado election judges will see ballots.)

Voters
can fax their ballot to 303-413-7750 or 303-413-7728.

When
voting via fax you must also mail the completed ballot to
the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder's office: Boulder County Clerk & Recorder

Ballots will be mailed to
voters who are signed up to vote by mail for the General
Election on
October 4.
All
ballots must be received by the Boulder County Clerk’s
office by 7 p.m. Mountain Time on Tuesday,
November 4 for the General Election.
Mail-in
ballots that are postmarked but not received by this
deadline will not be counted.
