                                Military & Overseas Voting Information

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) allows U.S. military personnel, an eligible spouse or dependent and U.S. citizens who reside outside the United States to vote in U.S. elections while they are overseas.

There are three classifications for overseas voting:
a.) A member of the Uniformed Services or Merchant Marine on Active Duty, or an eligible spouse or dependent
b.) A U.S. Citizen Residing Outside the U.S. Temporarily
c.) A U.S. Citizen Residing Outside the U.S. Indefinitely, can vote in federal elections ONLY

There are three ways to receive and cast your ballot for overseas voting:

a.) Mail
b.)
 Fax
c.)
Email - ONLY for uniformed services voters serving outside the U.S. in cases where mail and fax are not available or feasible

Overseas military personnel, their eligible spouses, dependents, and U.S. citizens residing outside the U.S. must fill out a Federal Post Card Application to vote while overseas.

For information on how to complete this form visit the Colorado Absentee Voting Guide.

We will begin issuing ballots on July 11, 2008 for the Primary Election and on October 4, 2008 for the General Election.
