Form
Secure and Verifiable Identification is required for all transactions. The identification must be provided by the owner
of record or with a power of attorney presented by the agent. The agent must have a secure and verifiable identification to complete the transaction.
Duplicate Registration
Form
A lost or
destroyed Colorado title may be replaced by bringing the vehicle
registration to the County Clerk's office with a picture ID, such as a
Driver's License, and completing an Application for Duplicate Title
signed by the owner.
The fee for the duplicate title is $8.20.
If a lien exists or has existed in the
past eight years, the duplicate title will be mailed to the lien holder
for release of lien.

A duplicate Colorado
registration may be obtained from anyone of the three Boulder County
Clerk's office for a fee of $2.20.
The license plate number is necessary to obtain a duplicate
registration.
