The Boulder County Community Services Department is made up of six major divisions and three large programs.  There are also many other programs among the divisions.  Each division provides services and programs aimed primarily toward low-income youth, elders, disabled, and minority citizens of Boulder County.

    Boulder County Aging Services Division (BCASD) plans, develops, coordinates, funds, advocates for and evaluates a wide range of services for older adults and their families/caregivers.

    CAP is an advocacy organization committed to community organizing around low-income and multicultural issues in Boulder County.

  • Head Start
    Head Start is a comprehensive Child Development program for low-income families and children with disabilities, designed to meet the individual needs of children through a partnership between teachers and parents.

  • Housing Authority
    The Boulder County Housing Authority (BCHA) provides a variety of rental and home ownership programs designed to assist low and moderate income families and elderly persons to secure housing within Boulder County.

  • Weatherization/Housing Rehab (LPEC)
    Longs Peak Energy Conservation (LPEC) provides free home energy conservation and home rehabilitation services for income-qualified residents living in Boulder, Gilpin and Larimer Counties. Renters as well as homeowners may qualify.

  • Community Justice Services
    The Community Justice Services Division provides pretrial, intermediate sanctions and preventative programs to youths and adults through a wide variety of programs, works with specialized targeted incarcerated populations and coordinates and monitors services provided by public and private vendors.

  • Workforce
    Workforce Boulder County is a comprehensive one step career center providing services for all job seekers and employers through a variety of  programs.

  • Project Work Together
    Project Work Together is a county-wide volunteer mentoring program which provides support, encouragement and friendship to individuals (most, but not all, are women) receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or who are enrolled in another WorkForce Boulder County program called Welfare to Work.
