What is Project HOPE?
Project HOPE Closed
Due to Section 8 being closed, Project HOPE is not currently accepting new applications.
Project HOPE is a joint program of BCASD, Boulder County Housing Authority, and Aging Services Foundation of Boulder County. It offers rental assistance, care coordination, and supportive services to frail older adults. Eligible applicants (age 62 and over) receive rental assistance allowing them to pay only 30% of their monthly adjusted gross income for rent. They also receive services that enable them to live with dignity and security: homemaking, transportation, home-delivered meals, adult day care, lifeline and personal care assistance. Openings in Project HOPE are dependent on current rental assistance availability.
To qualify for Project HOPE an individual or couple must:
- be at least 62 years old.
- be willing to reside in a rental unit in Boulder County.
- be in need of assistance with activities of daily living.
- meet the annual income guidelines for a Section 8 voucher.
- For 2007 the income guidelines are an income of less than $30,450 per year for one person or less than $34,800 per year for a couple.
