The Respite Care Volunteer Program
Mary Jane Longanecker - Respite Services Coordinator The Boulder County Respite Care Volunteer program is jointly sponsored by Boulder County Aging Services Division and local Senior Services from Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont and Louisville. Trained volunteers are matched one-on-one with frail older adults 60 years + providing about 2 hours weekly of free companion-level assistance and safety while the family caregiver is away. Olga Jacoby - Community Program Specialist Respite Assistance Program is jointly sponsored by Boulder County Aging Services Division and local Senior Services from Boulder, Lafayette, Longmont and Louisville. Respite Assistance Program provides financial assistance for respite services to family caregivers of older adults in Boulder County. Grants of up to $500.00/year are awarded and may be used in the home to reimburse a relative, friend, neighbor or professional care providers, at an adult day program, or in a long term care facility for a limited stay.
