What is Domestic Violence?
Domestic violence is an act or threatened act of violence upon someone with whom a person is or has been involved in an “intimate relationship”.
Domestic violence also includes, but is not limited to, the following behaviors within an intimate relationship:
-
Destruction of property
-
Threats and coercion
-
Intimidation through looks, actions and gestures
-
Physical violence
-
Pet abuse
-
Controlling what you do, who you see and who you talk to.
If any of this is familiar to you, remember it is not your
fault. Call today for support and information.
