Domestic Abuse Prevention Project
What is DAPP?
Since 1986, the Domestic Abuse Prevention Project or DAPP has
worked to improve the response to domestic violence in Boulder County.
By treating domestic violence as a crime, we strive to raise
individual and community awareness of ways to prevent further abuse.
The project is a coordinated effort among Law
Enforcement, the District Attorney’s Office, the Judiciary, Community
Justice Services, Probation, Social Services, Battered Women’s Shelters,
Perpetrator Counseling Providers and concerned Community Members.
DAPP is a liaison to all involved agencies, monitors the
effectiveness of system wide efforts and maintains statistics on all
reported cases of domestic violence in Boulder County.
DAPP is funded by Boulder County as well as the cities of Longmont
and Boulder.
