Justice System Volunteer Program
Internship Opportunities~
The Justice System Volunteer Program offers several internship opportunities for students who are interested in pursuing careers in the criminal justice field.
Although we do not offer any financial stipends, interns do receive college credit for their work at the Justice Center. Internships vary in length from one semester to year-long placements, and preference is given to juniors and seniors majoring in sociology, criminal justice, psychology, political science, women’s studies and pre-law. We offer many benefits for student interns, including excellent training and supervision, networking opportunities and valuable experience in an innovative criminal justice setting.
Prospective interns must undergo a criminal background check, provide at least two professional references and be interviewed by the Justice System Volunteer Program and the department that s/he is interested in.
