Justice System Volunteer Program

Internship Opportunity:
Juvenile Center Intern~ 

Support and enhance the services at the Juvenile Center by assisting in supervising juveniles in their daily tasks, conducting intake assessments that include pre-trial release planning, attending court with juveniles and working with outside agencies on behalf of youth and the center. The Juvenile Center provides booking, assessment and bonding services as well as secure, temporary lodging for up to twenty youth. Must be 21, majoring in social sciences. Prefer students with some prior experience of working with youth. Minimum of five hours/week, preferably for two semesters. Shifts available days, evenings and weekends.
