Justice System Volunteer Program

Internship Opportunity:
Victim/Witness Intern~

Assist in preparation of criminal cases, explain court procedures to victims and witnesses, assist victims with specific concerns in their cases, accompany victims to court, staff witness management program, including locating missing witnesses and calling witnesses to court. Victim/Witness provides services to over 2,000 crime victims annually, including information, crisis intervention, counseling and financial assistance. Must be a senior majoring in psychology or women’s studies. Preference given to students with serious interest in victim’s rights and/or law. Eight hours/week for two semesters.
