Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) is an entity of the Boulder
Community Housing Corporation, a 501(c) (3) private nonprofit
organization. FSS does have a Federal Tax ID number, 74-2321463,
and donations are tax deductible.
Corporations, small businesses and individuals are welcome to
donate to FSS throughout the year. If you are interested in
contributing to FSS, there are a variety of ways to do so.

In the fall, the FSS Advisory Board holds a major fundraiser,
Boulder County Heroes, to raise money for scholarships,
childcare, and emergency funds for FSS participants. The
fundraiser includes a silent and live auction; if you are
interested in donating to either auction or would like
information on how to be put on the mailing list, please contact
Ann Harris at 303-441-4853.
FSS also has Thanksgiving and Holiday programs to assist our
participants. If your organization or family is interested in
donating a Thanksgiving basket or adopting a FSS family for the
holidays, please contact the FSS Administrative Assistant at
720-564-2278 for further information.
The following contributions are greatly appreciated on an
ongoing basis:
- Target, Wal-Mart, Safeway, and King Soopers gift
certificates
- Professional women's clothing for our Career Closet,
call 303-441-4402
- School supplies, such as backpacks, notebooks, pens, or
calculators
- Childcare providers for client classes and groups
- Donate time as a LifeSkills presenter. FSS holds
monthly LifeSkills classes for participants.
- Become a mentor through Project Work Together. For

- Financial assistance for childcare, car repair,
utilities, etc.
