Housing Authority Housing Section 8 Program

Section 8

The Section 8 Housing Assistance Program is designed to enable low-income families, elderly and disabled persons to rent decent, safe and sanitary housing. Tenants pay no more than 40% of their adjusted monthly income towards rent. The remainder is paid by the Housing Authority to private owners through federal funding. Preference is given to families, elderly and disabled persons who live, work or go to school in Boulder County. There is a wait list for assistance.  Applicants must meet income limits.

Effective February 1, 2008 the Section 8 Waitlist is closed and we are not accepting applications.  The waitlist is not expected to open again until 2010.

 If you submitted an application when the waitlist was open you will be receiving a confirmation letter of your status.
