Department Information

Our primary goal is to preserve the relationship between consumers and businesses by fostering communication between two parties in a dispute. We resolve disputes informally and through mediation when possible and take civil and criminal action when it becomes necessary to protect the public.

We are committed to educating Boulder County consumers and businesses about Colorado consumer laws so problems can be avoided at the outset. To that end, we are available during the regular office hours for the Boulder District Attorney's office to answer questions and provide help.

We are glad to speak to community, business and school groups to further provide Boulder County residents with the information they need to make informed decisions and protect themselves in the marketplace.
