1. I have heard of all the contractor
problems people are having. I want to renovate my kitchen. What should
I do avoid problems?
2. I bought a
used car yesterday and now I don't think I want it. Don't I have 3
days to change my mind?
3. I purchased a used car less than a week ago.
I just found out that all sorts of things are wrong with the car. I was
told that the car was in "great shape." Doesn't
the dealer have to pay for the repairs?
4. I took my car into the garage to have it
repaired. They gave me an estimate, but when I went to pick it up, the
bill was much higher than I expected. What can I do about that?
5. I moved out of my apartment/house over a
month ago and my damage deposit has
not been returned. What can I do?
6. Three
friends and I signed a lease on a house. One of my friends took a job
in another state and moved out. Now my landlord says I am responsible for
his portion of the rent. Is this true?
7. I have a
tenant who has not paid the rent. What can I do?
8. A
collection agency called me several times at work about a bill. Not
only did it embarrass me at work, but I don't think I owe the bill. What
can I do?
9. I am buying a house and applied for a
mortgage. I was turned down because
of something on my credit report. How can I get a copy of my report and
how can I get it corrected?
10. I received
notification that I had won a car, but I have to send $300 for
shipping.
11. I was
terminated by a company here in town and have not received my paycheck.
When are they supposed to pay me?
12. I have
been called several times by the same company, even though I have asked
them not to call me again. How can I stop them?
13. I would
like to give to a charity that keeps calling me. How do I know they are
legitimate?
