What services are available if my kid is not in trouble?
In Boulder, one can call Boulder Youth Services which is a referral agency for youth services in the city of Boulder (441- 4357).

In Longmont, one can call Longmont Youth Services (651-8580).

Either of these agencies can make referrals for other Boulder County cities as well.

 

What are the benefits of diversion?
There are many benefits to the diversion program. Among them are: no conviction record, no fines or costs, and the opportunity to have an active voice in determining the conditions of the diversion contract.

 

What if we can't pay the restitution?
There is a limited fund available for juveniles under 16 to earn money towards restitution. Juveniles receive credit for community service hours at a rate of $4.00 per hour (untaxed). The juvenile can earn up to $200 in this program.
