The Boulder County (and Colorado) Flood of 2013 has dramatically impacted travel along our roads and highways, limiting access to residential areas in the foothills and mountains of Boulder County. Please visit the Boulder County Flood 2013 website for flood-related information on road status, private roads, bridges and culverts, public transit, and more.

Boulder County maintains approximately 700 miles of roadway, of which nearly 50 percent are gravel and 50 percent area asphalt surfaced. The County stretches from the plains, at an elevation of 5,280 feet to the Continental Divide, at an elevation near 14,000 feet. Consequently the maintenance division is well experienced in winter roadway maintenance practices.
