Boulder County Area Agency on Aging addresses the strengths and needs of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Older Adults (LGBT) population by supporting opportunities for LGBT elders to meet and socialize, and by educating service providers, the LGBT community, and the community-at-large.

Rainbow Elders

Boulder County Area Agency on Aging maintains a confidential email and surface mail list of self-identified LGBT elders (age 60+) and professional allies. The LGBT Program Specialist sends monthly notices of activities of interest, including Out Boulder and Bent Lens events. The division also hosts an annual celebration for Rainbow Elders called “The Lavender Gala.” To be added to the list, contact:

Project Visibility

Trainings for service providers and any interested party on the strengths and needs of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Elders. Trainings consist of a showing of a locally produced short film on LGBT elders, followed by a presentation and overview of a manual.
