We offer information, education, and support to family members and friends who provide full - or part-time unpaid care for older adults.

Our respite services provide substitute care for frail elders so caregivers can take a needed break.   


Project Visibility

As part of the Elder Rights program, Project Visibility is an award-winning training for service providers that highlights the lives, needs, and concerns of local lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) elders in Boulder County. The training consists of a 20-minute video, PowerPoint presentation, and discussion.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program

Long-Term Care Ombudsman program staff advocate for the rights of residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. All services are voluntary and confidential.

Medicare Counseling Program

Medicare counselors can provide extensive information and assistance regarding Medicare issues including Medicare Basics classes. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Nutrition Services


Boulder County Aging Services Nutrition Program offers information on meals, food sources, education, nutritional assessments, and nutrition counseling for older adults.



Wellness programs include workshops that have been scientifically evaluated for success.  Current workshops include Healthier Living with Chronic Conditions (English and Spanish), Healthier Living with Diabetes (Spanish only), and Matter of Balance /fear of falling (English and Spanish).   Programming also includes awareness education regarding mental health issues for older adults.

Aging Issues Consultation

Older adults and their family caregivers have option as they navigate various systems and make choices regarding resources.  Often, consultation with an aging specialist may be helpful in identifying needs, exploring options, and finding solutions.  Aging Services staff serves unincorporated Boulder County.

Information and Assistance

The CONNECT! Information & Assistance line offers in-depth information, referral, and assistance services to older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and service providers. CONNECT! is a collaboration between Boulder County, senior service agencies in Longmont, Lafayette, Boulder, Louisville, and other non-profits.
