Study Area

The master plan for Left Hand Creek includes the following areas:

  • Left Hand Creek from its headwaters near the base of Niwot Ridge, to its confluence with James Creek.
  • James Creek from its headwaters near the Town of Ward (including Little James Creek east of the Sky Ranch Estates subdivision), to the above confluence with Left Hand Creek.
  • The main stem of Left Hand Creek below James Creek confluence, to its confluence with St. Vrain Creek in the City of Longmont.
  • The portion of the South St. Vrain Creek Watershed above the trans-basin diversion in R73W T2N Sec 36.
