Currently Colorado is experiencing widespread tree mortality due to epidemic
conditions of mountain pine beetle infestations. Mountain pine beetle activity
has increased dramatically from 2006 to 2007 in the mountains, including Boulder County (2006-2007 Flight
Maps), and is forecast to increase exponentially over the next several years. ...more

The Allenspark/Meeker Park Community Forestry Sort Yard is Now Open!
Please Note: The Allenspark/Meeker Park Sort Yard
will be closed Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th, 2009 in Observation of
Independence Day.
As a reminder, county residents can use the County’s and the City of
Boulder’s year-round organic waste drop-off center at Western Disposal Services’ Transfer Station.
