Geographic Information Services
Since
1987, GIS technology has become an integral part of almost all of Boulder
County's governmental functions: property assessment; land use and zoning
issues; road construction and maintenance; emergency and law enforcement;
snow plowing; open-space acquisitions, operations and management; wildfire
mitigation; health concerns and precinct delineation.
The following GIS data can either be purchased or are available free of
charge when downloaded from this site:
- Assessor Parcel,
Road Centerline, and Precinct Boundary Layers
These GIS layers/datasets can be purchased using Visa or
MasterCard from Boulder County's eStore or by mail.
- Downloadable GIS Layers
A number of planning and
regulatory GIS layers are available free of charge when downloaded from this
site. The use of these
layers by citizens and others provide value in data consistency, public
information, and understanding.
- GIS Landpoints
A control densification
project was conducted in 1998-99 to improve the on-the-ground survey control in eastern
Boulder County. The resulting coordinates are useful for surveying, engineering, and GIS, and are provided free of
charge from this website.
- Digital Ortho Photos
Various black and white or color orthophotography were acquired in
1999, 2002 and 2004. These are
in Colorado State Plane,
