Frequently anticipated questions:

What does this data set describe?

Title: Marijuana Business Regulatory Areas
Abstract:
Data Source for Substance Abuse Treatment Centers: Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Behavioral Health at http:\\www.colorado.gov.TreatmentDirectory.map.jsf. Treatment centers are updated bi-annually. Per 6/9/2010 email from Dale Case, homeless shelters are not considered substance abuse treatment centers.See G:\Dockets\DC- text amendments\DC 2010\DC-10-0002 - Medical Marijuana Center for a document called DATA-SOURCE.doc for more information. Data Source for Schools: regis1.boco.gis.sde.BOCO.LANDMARKS.SCHOOLS. Created February 2010 and updated annually by Boulder County GIS (IT) Department (Tim Lomas). Data Source for Licensed Childcare Facilities: Colorado Department of Human Services Division of Childcare (DCC). DCC sends a montly report of licensed child care facilities in Boulder County the beginning of every month. These locations are updated monthly.See G:\Dockets\DC- text amendments\DC 2010\DC-10-0002 - Medical Marijuana Center\Monthly Reports.Any MMCs located in Agricultural Zoning Districts are considered non-conforming (or illegal). They should still have a 500 foot buffer put around them in case they intersect with one of the zoning districts that allows MMCs and requires them to be spaced. But they would not be impacted themselves under zoning by the buffers (Dale Case email 8/19/2011).
