The mission Aging Services is to promote the health and well-being of older adults by building on individual, family, and community strengths. In addition to being a division of county government, Aging Services is also the Area Agency on Aging for the county.
We use a strengths-based philosophy in our service delivery in order empower adults and their family caregivers to make informed decisions and choices about current needs and long-term care. Our services support adults 60 and over and their adult caregivers, regardless of age. In addition, we participate in policy, planning and advocacy roles to support programs on aging.
