Boulder County Board of
Health
Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) is governed by a
five-member board of health. This voluntary board consists of five
Boulder County citizens who are appointed to serve by the Boulder County
Board of County Commissioners.
Responsibilities of the Board of Health
include:
- Establishing policy for Boulder County Public Health.
- Providing oversight to the
operation of the department.
- Approving the department's
budget.
- Selecting and supervising the
department's executive director.
Membership
Board of Health members
serve for five-year, staggered terms. In the event of a vacancy on
the Board of Health, the County Commissioners would appoint a new member to

Regular Board of Health
meetings are held on the second Monday of each month beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The meetings are held at the Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) Auditorium, 3450 Broadway, Boulder,
Colorado.
Special meetings may be called at the
discretion of the Board of Health president, BCPH executive director, or a majority of the Board members.
