Engaging in regular physical activity contributes to good health and
helps prevent a myriad of chronic conditions. Physical activity also is
vital to maintaining healthy weight. The Boulder County rate for adults
who engage in regular physical activity is higher than the statewide rate.
The percentages below are based on a definition of regular physical
activity as moderate activity for 30 or more minutes per day, five or more
days per week OR vigorous activity for 20 or more minutes per day, three
or more days per week.
* Moderate physical activity (20 or more minutes per day, 3 or more
days per week) or vigorous activity (30 or more minutes per day, 5 or
more days per week).
