TOPA: Transitional Outpatient Program
Transitional Outpatient Program at the ARC (TOPA)
3180 Airport Road Boulder, CO 80301
303-441-1281
TOPA is a new program that was established to help people transition into outpatient
services. It meets in Detox at the ARC, and is facilitated by outpatient
therapists, detox counselors, and/or volunteers.
This program is designed to provide a place for establishing abstinence
and a stable lifestyle. Education and structure, in the form of groups, as
well as basic case management support, are provided. You can begin
attending as soon as you have scheduled an Outpatient or DUI intake, or if
you have been in Detox.
It is also intended to provide extra support for Outpatient clients who
need contact between their weekly therapy groups. This program is free to
all those interested in remaining clean and sober, and are developing a
recovery plan. There is no minimum number of groups to attend, but be sure
to set up an attendance plan with the TOPA/detox counselors. You must be
sober/clean to attend a session, and no one is admitted to the group who
is more than five minutes late.
