Boulder County Public Health has several programs to help you and
your baby.
GENESIS serves teen parents from pregnancy
through the child’s third birthday by promoting healthy parenting
practices within teen parent families.
Women, Infants,
Children (WIC) is for pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum
women; infants; and children. It focuses on the nutrition needs of
low-income pregnant women, new mothers, and children under five years of
age.
Community Infant Program (CIP)
provides services to high-risk families to promote healthy attachments
between parents and infants.
Early and Periodic Screening,
Diagnosis, and Treatment Program (EPSDT)
EPSDT helps children on Medicaid from birth to 21 years of age to
receive all of the health services they need.
Children with Special Needs (CSN)
serves families with children who may have been born prematurely, or
with a birth defect, or exposed to an environment of abuse and neglect.
Specialized Women's Services works to increase the number of
healthy infants and maintain intact families by reducing or stopping the
use of alcohol or drugs by pregnant and parenting women.
