2009 Summer Clean
Air Challenge Contest Winners Thank
you to those who participated in this year's Clean Air Challenge. There
were a total of 304 participants who registered and 94 participants
logged points for all four periods in the contest. This large effort can
significantly reduce the formation of ground level ozone and improve air
quality in our community.
Participants of the challenge commuted 97,665 miles
through alternative transportation over the summer. This saved the
participants a collective 5,644 gallons of gas over the summer and
reduced emissions of carbon dioxide and ground-level or (bad) ozone.
