Department of Public Health and Environment Fines CEMEX;
Compliance Order Resolves Issues Dating Back to 2006
Friday, March 6, 2009 - DENVER - CEMEX has agreed to a $528,325
enforcement penalty and to make a variety of air quality improvements at
its Lyons cement plant in Boulder County, according to the Colorado
Department of Public Health and Environment. The settlement agreement
resolves alleged violations of state air quality laws and the plant’s
air permit dating back to 2006.

CEMEX Tire Burn Proposal
Boulder County Public Health staff is in the process of working with
Cemex to review and display data from the company's new data management
system. At the end of 2007, Cemex replaced their monitoring and
compliance data system. BCPH is reviewing this data and working on a
tangible way to display this information on our website.
Lyons, CO - A second health consultation produced by the
Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
(ATSDR) is now available.
