Drinking Water

Colorado Source Water Assessment and Protection (SWAP)

is a new program designed to provide the general public information about drinking water. The program encourages community-based protection and preventative management strategies to ensure that all public drinking water resources are kept safe from future contamination.

Private water supplies are typically provided by wells or cisterns, while public drinking water is typically supplied by a water district or municipality.
