Gapter Road

Overview

Gapter Road is a residential area east of Boulder. This small community enjoys a rural setting just on the outskirts of the city, but there are a number of issues facing the community.

The area lies almost entirely within the South Boulder Creek floodplain.

Combining this with a very high groundwater table and a population served by private wells and onsite wastewater systems (OWS), we have a high risk for water quality issues.

Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) has been working with the community and the City of Boulder to deal with these issues.
