October 5, 2009, is
National Child Health Day!

Celebrate National Child Health Day by taking these steps and encouraging parents/caregivers to do the same:

  • Be a role model for children by making healthy choices for yourself.

  • Help children be physically active through everyday play and participation in sports, dance, etc.

  • Support children's healthy eating habits.

The Child Health Promotion Program works with early childhood program providers and parents/guardians to identify early signs of developmental or health problems in children, prevent injuries, reduce the spread of communicable diseases, and promote a safe and stimulating environment.
