Treating Rotavirus

Rotaviral treatment is supportive.

The primary concern is dehydration, especially in infants and young children.

Fortunately, infants and young children generally respond well to oral rehydration.

Continue breast or formula feeding in infants and give oral fluids to young children to prevent or correct dehydration.
