Your Rights Under Medicaid
A Social Services Medicaid technician will determine if you are eligible for Medicaid
benefits and will send you a letter if your application
(for non-disabled categories) has been accepted or denied
within 45 days of the date of your application. If you are
applying and have a disability that must be evaluated, it
can take up to 60 days to determine if you are eligible.
If you are dissatisfied with our decision, you may request a
conference with the agency. You may also appeal to the
Division of Administrative Hearings and request a hearing.
How do I request a hearing?
- Telephone your technician and ask him or
her
to
report a hearing on your behalf, or
- Write to the Division of Administrative Hearings, 633 17th
Street, Suite 1300, Denver, CO 80202.
