Meth Lab Cleanup Ordinance Adopted

2007, Boulder County — The Boulder County Commissioners adopted an ordinance that will help ensure the public is not unnecessarily exposed to methamphetamine (meth) labs. Meth labs pose significant risks to public health. This ordinance is also intended to ensure that the cleanup of such labs meet existing public health standards. Ordinance (PDF)

Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) works to reduce the public health threat of meth and meth production in our communities in the following ways:

1) Prevention, Identification, & Cleanup of Meth Labs
BCPH works closely with other local agencies and community members to keep reduce the public health impacts of meth labs in Boulder County.

2) Meth Addiction Recovery
Boulder County Public Health provides 24-hour Detox services for methamphetamines, as well as long-term, outpatient assistance.
