DENVER - The Colorado Water Quality Control Commission has scheduled a public rule making hearing at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, to consider revisions to the Cherry Creek Reservoir control regulation.

The hearing will be held in the Sabin Room at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, 4300 Cherry Creek Drive South.

Revisions to the regulation have been proposed jointly by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Water Quality Control Division as staff to the commission and the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority.

A portion of this rulemaking, which addresses proposed restrictions on new septic systems in the Cherry Creek basin floodplain, will be conducted as a joint hearing with the Colorado Board of Health. It is anticipated that this portion of the hearing will begin at 10 a.m.
A copy of the proposal is available on the commission’s Web site at http://www.cdphe.state.co.us/op/wqcc/wqcchom.asp or from the commission office at (303) 692-3469.

Interested persons are encouraged to submit written comments to the commission at or prior to the hearing, or to provide oral comments at the hearing.

Any written comments should be submitted to Paul Frohardt, administrator, Colorado Water Quality Commission, 4300 Cherry Creek Drive South, Denver, 80246. Comments received by the commission by Wednesday, September 1, 2004, will be distributed to commission members for review prior to the hearing. Frohardt also can be reached at (303) 692-3468.
