February 13, 2008—Denver—The Vital Records Office
at the Colorado Department of
Public Health and Environment now is offering heirloom
marriage
verification certificates suitable for framing. The heirloom
certificates are available for $50 each. The cost of a
standard
certificate remains $17. From the $50 cost of the heirloom

heirloom certificates are being offered as a result of
Colorado Revised
Statute section 25-2-122 that was created by the General
Assembly upon
passage of House Bill 06-1154. Each heirloom certificate
is on specially printed safety paper and
features a colorful Colorado columbine. These heirloom
certificates are
available only in the Vital Records Office at the Colorado
Department of
Public Health and Environment, 4300 Cherry Creek Drive
South, in
Denver. Marriage verification certificates are available
to the bride, the
groom or an immediate family member. A driver’s license,
state
identification card or passport is required at the time of
purchase. "Colorado is one of several states to begin
offering these heirloom

Day
gift." For more information, please contact Tami Rodriguez
