Zoonotic Conditions Requiring Reporting
The Colorado Board of Health also
requires Veterinarians to report diseases in animals
that “may endanger the public health” (6CCR 1009-1, Reg. 8).
Since Boulder County Public Health (BCPH) and veterinarians
have the common goal of protecting the health of those we
serve, we are requesting veterinarians to report the
following zoonotic conditions when diagnosed in animals.
Please complete the
reporting form for the
following zoonotic conditions and fax to
303-413-7526:
Boulder County Public Health will utilize this information
to enhance our communicable disease surveillance system. The data you
can provide us will help us to best inform other veterinarians, health care
providers, and the public of potential health threats.
If you have any questions, please contact BCPH’s
Communicable Disease Control Program at 303-413-7503.
